Ben will be rowing to raise money for three charities with which he has a personal connection.
Boxcleva is an award winning charity set up by a friend of Ben’s in and around Hertfordshire/North London.
They operate a sporting and educational youth initiatives, centred on the sport of amateur boxing.
Many of the children come to Boxcleva by referral from their schools and other agencies. Most of the children will be having behavioural problems, playing truant and getting into trouble generally. Boxcleva’s aim is to
provide positive male role models to these children. As well as the boxing classes they put on they also carry out healthy eating and drug awareness in each and every session
Helping Hands Childrens Home
Helping hands children’s home is an orphanage in Bamenda, Cameroon which Ben’s sister and her family run.
There are thousands of orphans in Cameroon and many live in extreme poverty, never having a hope of going to school or to be cared for.
Many are forced into child labour with no hope or future.
Helping hands children’s home is a loving place where the children are raised to become successful adults.
This is done through schooling, bible classes, hygiene and nutritional classes, tutoring, sports and an unlimited amount of love and allowing them to just ‘be a kid’.

Debs is a mutual friend of Ben’s and he wanted to help out her charity in any way he could.
